Today, I took a short trip down the block to two of the most scenic and beautiful monuments in Arlington Va, my home.

U.S.M.C. War Memorial

The Netherlands Carillon

Sadly, The U.S.M.C. War Memorial was undergoing a revitalization project, so the ground was ripped up in almost a 200 ft radius, and fenced off, and my first trip to the Carillon, I discovered was closed on Sundays. Meaning I couldn't go up and take an awesome shot of DC. I will be following both up, when they are open/revitalized.

Along the way, I took some assorted photos of Pansies and MORE Cherry Blossoms, and as of now, unidentified bird.

With reverence to my last post, I am following up with the pictures tonight of the fireworks show for the Cherry Blossom Festival. I opted to stay home, and shoot from the roof, I hate riding the metro at night on events like this, it's like a sardine can. I apologize for any blurred pictures, I need a tripod desperately.






















It has been brought to my attention that the above photo resembles a bird flying towards the sun. I would like to use the imagery of Icarus. Judge for yourself.
